I'm so glad you're here! Let's explore what's most important to you.
Hi, I’m Dani (they/them), and I’m so glad you’re here. I offer in-person and virtual individual and relationship counselling.
My approach to counselling is warm, curious, open, and collaborative. I want counselling to feel like a space where you can show up as your whole self. Together, we can slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and explore what has brought you here.
I grew up on the unceded territory of the southeastern Anishinaabe in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, and now live, work, and play on the unceded territories of the Esquimalt Xwsepsəm, Songhees, and W̱SÁNEĆ Nations. As a white settler, I’m grateful to the Indigenous peoples who have cared for these lands since time immemorial and continue to do so today.
My approach is person-centred, narrative, and strengths-based, grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I’m not here to tell you who you are or what you should do. Instead, I see our work together as a space to get curious about your experiences, notice the strengths and wisdom you already carry, and explore what feels meaningful and possible for you.
As a queer, trans, neurodivergent, and autoimmune-compromised counsellor-in-training, I know that who we are, where we come from, and the communities we belong to can deeply shape how we experience the world. I strive to offer counselling that is affirming, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive, while staying curious about what makes your experiences uniquely yours.
Throughout my work as a coach and volunteer in social advocacy spaces, I’ve supported queer, trans, Indigenous, Black, and racialized people through burnout, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and experiences of discrimination. This work has deepened my belief in the importance of spaces where people feel seen, understood, and supported.
Outside of the counselling room, you’ll probably find me somewhere in nature, hanging out with my two senior pups, or getting involved in social justice and community work. Community care is an important part of my life. I believe healing happens both within ourselves and in connection with others, and I feel grateful to do work that makes space for both.
I believe a meaningful counselling relationship starts with finding the right fit. If something here resonates, I’d love to hear from you.
I am currently accepting new clients.
I work with individual clients ages 12+.
I offer virtual and in person sessions in Victoria, BC.
My session fee is $40-$60 for a 50 minute session.
